Tom Cruise isn't that great an actor. My favorite films with him in it though are Rain Man, Top Gun, Interviw With the Vampire

The Adjustment Bureau. 8.5/10

There aren't too many movies now that keep you guessing, that's why I liked this.

Very tempting . . . $40 for a whole trilogy on bluray isn't a bad deal . . . grrr, I'm trying to cut back on spending . . .

That's not exactly a huge discount from $40 lol. I'd probably grab it for $30 though.

Anyways, just watched the first two Rambo movies. Also watched Alien III earlier today and was kinda disappointed with it.

I can attest for the Coppola Restoration, it's amazing. I only bought the first two for somewhere around $20.

First Blood is an awesome movie. I didn't care for 2 or 3, but 4 is definitely fun to watch. Alien and Aliens are the only movies in that franchise worth a shit, IMHO, although I do want to see Prometheus.

yeah. this is not a transfer. Robert Harris (a film historian) did this restoration. he found the original negatives and scanned them at 4k resolution which is unheard of. previous releases on DVD were a copy of a copy. a lot of the grain was cleaned up. audio track was remastered and has no hissing, volume imbalance or dropouts.

it's like watching it for the first time.

Robert Harris has been bugging George Lucas to restore the original Star Wars movies

There's a fourth Rambo movie? I only have three in my box set.

A proper restoration of the original Star Wars films would be amazing. We all know it won't happen until Lucas dies though.

Ooooh, it's a fairly recent (2008) film. No wonder I didn't know about it. I guess my box-set was released before that was available on bluray. Apparently there is a fifth in the works.
