An ex contacted me last night so this will only be used as a server mostly.

Taking out the GPU will reduce it's power consumption.

I fail to see the causal link. Insufficient data.

Whoops. It'll be accessed by VNC while I'm away.

Limited amount of time to get things together. Will be moving in with a friend temporarily to aid in that process.

Otherwise if I just rush into it It'll be a horrid spaghettifest.

I haven't been able to make eye contact with anyone for about a year and a half if that says anything about how much work is ahead.

If you listen carefully, he's saying that it was Kim Dotcom & his laywer that had said that... the anchor is just repeating what was said.

I love how they make a fuss about semi automatic weapons (Their glock sidearms?) when they were carrying the Colt Commando M4 assault rifle in the venerable 5.56x45mm NATO caliber.

Ooookay.

I'm "away" until next month

I'm thinking that we'll go to 'Big Rave In Little Phoenix' on the 8th since I don't know of anything else that would be interesting.

That should give me some time to have my ass kicked into shape.

/excite

You'd think if your job involved presenting information about so many stories that involve firearms they could atleast spend 5 minutes on wikipedia to develop atleast a basic understanding of what you're talking about.

The media butchers important details on just about everything regardless.

Did the subject have an actual fully automatic ASSAULT RIFLE or some shitty stripped down WASR-10 AK that can jam like a motherfucker that you buy at your local sporting goods store?

Details like that are important.

Was just laying in the yard watching the meteor shower. Saw about 10 really huge ones and maybe 15 small ones.

You're still missing it. The cops were the ones carrying the assault rifles. Kim Dotcom was unarmed, and waiting in his panic room to be arrested, with hands up.

I just meant it was funny that KDC&Laywer chose to complain about semi-automatics.

Looked at the sky for 5 minutes. Didn't see any meteors.

A bit of cloud cover and alot of noise pollution.

What are you supposed to be looking for?

A short moving line in the sky; depending on size of the meteor, about as bright as a star.

twitter handle -> personal website -> dns info -> home address -> password recovery on gmail -> called amazon and said i'm so and so here is my home address and I want to add a new credit card -> called amazon a second time and got them to change e-mail -> went into his amazon account and got his last 4 digits of credit card -> called Apple and said i'm so and so I want to recover my password and gave last 4 digits of credit card because that's all they need -> recovered his twitter account using his gmail

so at this point they have his twitter, gmail, amazon and apple.

they posted racist comments on his twitter. deleted his gmail. wiped his Mac, iPhone and iPad using Find My.

they did all this without using a single exploit.

If you misplace your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac, the Find My iPhone app will let you use another iOS device to find it and protect your data. Simply install this free app on another iOS device, open it, and sign in with your Apple ID. Find My iPhone will help you locate your missing device on a map.You can then choose to display a message or play a sound, remotely lock your device, or erase your data on it.
all the hackers did was take advantage of each recovery service because they give out just enough information to follow the next breadcrumb.
