iPad shmi-pad we got the EEE Pad now!

12" eee pad by asus. Sporting Win7, core 2 duo processor and a good 10 hour battery life.

Basically a light laptop without a keyboard, it won't play Crysis on high... but who needs an iPad now?

This is clearly better than the iPad, but it's not going to sell as well simply because of brand name.

The only thing that will stop me from buying this is a shitty touch screen. iPad is too locked down for my tastes, but it does have an amazing touch screen.

I don't care which OS it has, as long as it gets a nice touch interface. The capacitive touch on the Apple products is about the best touch screens I've ever used.

Shit, get it and throw OS X on it, and show those iPad douches how it's really done.

i own an iphone im perfectly aware. i just think its super cool. ill put windows 7 on it though with a dock like they do. i just like they way it looks. im not to big into android as anything more than a mobile Os. i wouldnt want to use a PC on it. i would however love to own one of these and idk. watch flash vids in front of the mac store. my knee is broke so ill have alot of time to sit.

Asus just need a strong.. very strong marketing campaign for this. That's where most companies have failed when trying to compete with Apple products. All they need are some good TV commercials that are "edgy" and "smart" so idiots can "relate" to them and they'll have a winner.

Beat my HTC Prototype. Packing the Nvidia Tegra 250 @ 900Mhz running Windows Mobile 7.0. 512MB LP-DDR2, 16GB internal storage, 5.2" AMOLED from Samsung. Wonder if TPU will do a review of it. lol. I can't do a review of mine because its not the baseline. I was hoping the one Microsoft sent me was baseline which is the Tegra 6xx line.

They want reviews to be based around the same baseline hardware with reviews of the more high end stuff coming out later.

If MS really pushes Windows Mobile 7.0, it could be a great alternative to Windows XP. There, I said it... Windows Phone 7 can replace Windows XP.
