Spike and his "give o fuck" meter is why I liked him. When he would just run over random people DURING THE DAY with an old impala with blacked out windows made me damn near laugh to death......of course I was blitzed out of my mind. This was when he was still bad on Buffy I think. Hell I don't even remember if it was an Impala.

I can't say I liked that aspect of the character, but I would definitely pick that over Angel's non-stop, self-tormenting whinefest. "Oh, I've been so bad. Oh, I've killed so many.' Yeah, whatever. Make a point or I've got one on the end of this here stake.

Not as good as the last one but still very good. I'm a special effects whore so that's part of the reason. It was good to see some old friends like Garth.

Last episode was good, but I'm starting to wonder how they are going to wrap up this season, 3 episodes left and this is suppose to be the last season. Though Googling says good chance of another season. I would like to see another, I kind of feel it's a little to late to wrap up the entire history of this show with so many loose ends in just 3 episodes. Kind of want to see some more closure on numerous people and their life in general, and just killing Dick I don't think will be good enough.

No way the CW pulls the plug on a show like this. The demographic it attracts is the holy grail of tv programming. They would be like the emo assholes on most of the other shows on that network if they cancel it. That is complete fucking bullshit.

The show originally was suppose to be done after Season 5, or thats when Kripke was done basically. Then I can't remember if they decided 1 more season then just added another, or if they decided on 2 more seasons. I just know for sure that it was suppose to end on this one, I ask myself each season was will be next? devil, death, leviathans. I honestly didn't see the last 2 coming, so if there is an 8, I'm curious what it will be. Honestly I don't think they need a huge build up like that all season, episodes I like most is them just hunting, I like hearing the lore to these creatures a lot.

There's just too much potential with Bobby being a ghost now to pull the plug. Plus, I think the Leviathans are good for another seasons.

There are any number of ways they can play this even if they kill of the Leviathans. They don't have to go bigger an badder. There's still Crowley, who is an endless source of mischief and entertainment. Or they can do something like they're doing with Fringe and do a time slip either into the past or future. We've seen that before but only for single episodes. There's no reason they can't expand on that.

Not only that, this show is ripe for spinoffs but they haven't done enough ancillary character development for that. I mean how do have a show run this long and not have even an attempt at a spin off - what's up with that. They need at least another season to try to milk this bitch.

Oh, it's not done. Sera Gamble is no longer the show runner (THANK GOD!) and it damn sure shows. It's the top rated CW show on Friday night and pulls down a ton of 18-49 viewers. I doubt the Leviathans are done yet and they still have a few big characters locked away. The Anti Christ for one, Lucifer, Micheal, Crowley. In the second to last episode, the alpha vampire is cast for some reason.

its also one of the pioneer cw shows for online only viewing. It has more views online than it has through the general broadcast system.

Yep, seems since they were going to end it with Season 7 they had moved them to the "Death Slot" on Friday night. But the show still held over 2 million viewers even in a slot where they send shows to die, probably is why they renewed it for another season, and good news, seems that isn't the last, surviving in a slot where tv shows go to die must have made an impression!

Quote:
Someone better send the Impala in for a tune up, because it looks like Sam and Dean Winchester won’t be retiring anytime soon. While ‘Supernatural‘ was granted an early renewal for an eighth season and recently moved out of the ‘Friday Night Death Slot’ for a Wednesday time slot this fall, today’s The CW Upfront brings even more good news or fans of the long-running cult series!

According to comments made during the network’s presentation, The CW boss Mark Pedowitz seems to believe that the Winchester brothers’ adventures have far from ended even after the upcoming eighth season. Speaking to the crowd, Pedowitz says “I’m not looking at season 8 as the final year in any way, shape or form.”

Originally, series creator Eric Kripke had always envisioned ‘Supernatural’ as a five-season series, departing after the fifth season, and leaving the show in the care of executive producer Sera Gamble, Recently, Gamble herself announced that she’d be stepping down as show-runner, returning former executive story editor and co-producer Jeremy Carver to take show-runner duties. Carver had previously left ‘Supernatural’ in 2010 to executive producer Syfy’s ‘Being Human‘ alongside his wife, Anna Fricke.

Check out The CW’s official press release on season 8:

The thrilling and terrifying journey of the Winchester brothers continues as SUPERNATURAL enters its eighth season. Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) have spent their lives on the road, battling every kind of supernatural threat. Over the years, after dozens of bloody adventures, they have faced everything from the yellow-eyed demon that killed their mother to vampires, ghosts, shapeshifters, angels and fallen gods. They even came face to face with Lucifer and the Four Horsemen in averting the Apocalypse. With the help of allies – both human and supernatural – they’ve discovered that every threat they vanquish opens a new door for evil to enter in.

In the show’s seventh season, their hunt for the dreaded Leviathans – monstrous creatures escaped from Purgatory – has cost them dearly. Claiming the life of their best friend and father-figure, Bobby Singer, and shattering their protector, the fallen angel Castiel, Sam and Dean’s battle to somehow defeat the age-old Leviathan threat will take everything they’ve got. As dawn arrives after their endless struggle and sacrifice to defeat the world’s evils, they know that, come nightfall, something otherworldly – something supernatural – will claw its way out of the shadows, demanding their attention.

Not bad, eh ‘Supernatural’ fans? Are you happy to potentially have the show back for seasons beyond the eighth, or is it time we burn its bones?

Long time since a post in here. So far I did like the beginning of this season. But now after the break, this whole Men of Letters thing is fucking awesome. This might be the best storyline I have ever seen for this show. They have a cool bunker, some episodes that deal with historic times, very awesome. I almost hope they don't wrap this part of the story up at the end of this season. They gave the Leviathans an entire season, I think this deserves the same if not more.

According to Jeremy Carver, this story arc will span to at least season 10. It also just got renewed for season 9. While I don't think it's as good as the first 5 seasons, this season has kicked ass so far.

Wow I love supernatural, at one point it was my favorite show. Not so much anymore but I still watch it and have seen every episode. I thought for sure this would be the last season when it started but definitely seems like they are trying extend it. I can see how they would want to with the fan base it has.

The beauty of supernatural is how consistent it is. Pretty much pulled down 3 million viewers from day 1, the ratings have never really slipped. It's a rabid fan base. It seems to be one of those shows that will continue as long as the actors want it to.

Same. Last nights episode was a little disappointing, but decent.

Thats good, I think to really flesh out these societies, that it needs time. I don't want them to just all of a sudden understand everything, and be like "ok it's done". I mean it was an entire society holding these secrets, it should take time to uncover many of them, especially since I'm sure much will be cryptic.

So far I have liked every season, even since 5, I think 6 maybe was a bit slow, but I loved the actor that played Death, they picked the perfect guy for it. So episodes dealing with him were great, other episodes lacked a bit though.

7 was good as well, once again Dick Roman, perfect actor. Came off as a Dick, and ended with a twist I didn't see coming.

8 so far started off good, but seemed to lack direction, only seemed like Dean and Sam trying to get back in a groove, which is a direction. And now that they hit this new storyline, the beginning of the season getting things in order makes a bit more sense and doesn't bother me at all, I had just been hoping for a bigger scope for the plot, and now I've got it. I have I think 2 more episodes to catch up, just watched the Golem one, that was freaking awesome.
