It takes a certain set of skill's to actually learn anything during a lecture Thing's i found that helped *me* massively were to be constantly jotting down notes while the proff was lecturing OR if reading from textbook's have the highlighter handy and highlite away! Yes i do. Peel region (where i live/Brampton is a part of) is mostly, i'd say about 60% - 70% east Indians, so "your" culture is somewhat known to me.
