Looks like I need a new case for my super size server board and probably a new psu. Fuck. I'm already out nearly $1500 for this sucker (yes, I'm stoned - 24/7).

I think I'm just going to send back the m/b and get one that will fit in my existing case. This is getting way too damned expensive.

Well, spring decided to say fuck you to Texas and we are having early summer like weather. Mid to high 80s for two weeks straight now and it's not looking to let up any time soon. Good news is that it allows me to start my pool early this year. Normally I am just starting to get it going by the 2nd week of May and by that time the algae is in full bloom. This time it's still dormant, so the chlorine is causing it to clump and rise to the surface, rather than disperse into the water. Makes it about 1000 times easier to clean, so fuck yeah!

Hit the 40's today thank god. Keeps the grass, or rather, the weeds from growing so I have a little more time to find a lawn guy. I've called, faxed and emailed but I'm not getting a lot of responses. Not sure what's up with that.

Wow, my luck sucks. Systems infested with Silicoid swarms spawn a Silicoid queen every 10 turns, which goes out and infests another system. That's an exponential. So the spiral arm I started off on ended up half infested by Silicoids. While this was happening, for some reason both of the factions from the neighbouring spiral arms were traversing the gap between arms to fuck with my empire. And while that was happening a System Killer spawned and started taking out the spiral arm I was on. System Killers do exactly what their name implies, kill systems. The System Killer requires tonnes of late game anti-matter era dreadnoughts to take down, I only had fusion era cruisers. Needless to say, with the research speed modifier set to 50%, this game was hopeless.
