They are one of the most inspirational metal artists that have been apart of my life, I last saw them in April and once again an amazing show

Most of the bands in the (poll) list are SICK! but dont forget about old-school metal like Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Slayer, Judas Priest, Dio etc...

forgot to put them in the poll, but i havent forgotten them entirely. the agonist is ok, but they certainly wouldn't be in the top 10 bands. i am really surprised that i forgot cannibal corpse. i grew up listening to that band.

Black Dahlia Murder is one of my most favorite bands. Especially Nocturnal, A Vulgar Picture, Black Valor, Necropolis, and Everything Went Black.

Cry of the Black Birds by Amon Amarth is like my theme song.

I'd choose Daath out of the list given. They have a nice variety to their songs, plus they're brutal as fuck. Second choices would be Whitechapel and Suicide Silence, but their stuff gets old. Sort of like with As Blood Runs Black, all of their songs sound the same (at least the one's I've heard). My absolute favorite death metal band though would be Job for a Cowboy. I've actually bought all of their albums, Doom is the best, great lyrics and style and they're generally good guys.

The fact is, All the bands on this page aside from Anything me / the other guy with the big list posted, and 3/8 of those bands on the actual poll, are not metal.

The word you're looking for is Deathcore, which started when Metalcore had surprise buttsecks with Death Metal, causing Death Metal to spawn a gay counterpart so scene kids could listen to "Death Metal".

Wrong, it's a direct line from hardcore and post-hardcore/screamo which made metalcore, which then buttfcked death metal for deathcore.
