Underground Hip Hop

Golden years of the underground were 1999-2006 (obviously my option as lesser known MCs have been around since the 80s but no where near the quality or refinement of groups/individuals in the listed timeframe). There were so many introductions to good emcees those years. Learned about stones throw in 1999…when Peanut Butter Wolf released My Vinyl Weighs a Ton. Among a bunch of other emcees/DJs/Producers that came out in that time frame. I could list a BUNCH of MCs for you guys (and gals) to look into…but I am pressed for time at the moment so I won’t.

Where are all you non commercial radio hip hop listeners!?
