I think my link is better than your link, and since you can't agree with my superior logic I won't even post it!

![]() I never call it "fanboyism" because girls can be guilty of it too. How many girls are all goo-goo-ga-ga over Gucci products, for example?

![]() Maybe that's why Apple has a reputation for catering to the "selfish elites," their products sell almost entirely based on brand where as Microsoft, Dell, HP, Acer, etc. sell based on performance and customer satisfaction. Brand loyalty/fanism naturally leads itself to be more media friendly which is why you hear about Apple in the media far more so than Microsoft or other brands (unless they're getting sued). Basically what I'm getting at is Apple sells nothing but their brand and whenever that brand appears on a different product, the loyalists respond. A large part of that brand loyality is to Steve Jobs. When Jobs is sick, Apple is too. When Jobs leaves, Apple slumps. When Jobs returns, Apple booms. When jobs has a new idea, every loyalist is listening. Apple's problem in the near future is that very connection. Jobs won't be around forever and when he goes away, how is Apple going to turn the loyalty away from Jobs towards the corporation? I'm not so certain they can.

I don't consider myself much of a fanboy, though I do have a bit of brand loyalty in me, i.e since I like my Xbox 360, I'll consider getting the next one, but I won't get something just because the brand, I'll get which I think is better so if the next Xbox is crap I'll get the next PlayStation. I've had all the Playstations except the PS3 because the 360 was the better buy for me, even though I was a Sony fanboy and wanted the PS3.
The only thing I hate about my iPod is the brand name, I hate that everyone gets one because it's an iPod. I got my iPod because I listen to music more than anyone I know and it has the features I want, like gapless playback which isn't on many MP3 players and the big screen is great for watching videos on the go as I'm on the bus a lot but I don't know why all my friends have one other than the brand. Same with Skullcandy headphones, people only get them because the brand and the looks, for the same price you could get superior Boss or Sennheiser, but they don't look as cool or have a cool sounding name...

Not sure how this thread can exist without the "I Don't Care" Iphone video. NSFW due to swearing, or if you work at Apple.

Build quality and screen were nice on the Zune. Software was an even bigger letdown than itunes tho. And not nearly the same amount of accessories available either. I had both, and still preferred using my iPod.

lol. No quite. I wanted a Cowon really bad, but couldn't afford it, and it didn't work with my head unit the way the iPod does.

As for your latest statement, how can Cowon "didn't work" when you "couldn't afford one." You of all people should know that Apple loves to invent priorietary jacks on their products in order to limit the number of holes in the case (Apple clearly hates holes). The iPod Original has two ports, for example: the standard 3.5 mm stereo jack and their proprietary port. If your "head unit" doesn't work with Cowon, that means you bought a proprietary "head unit" which will only work on iPod products. You should have known that when you bought it and you should have known it will be completely useless on anything except Apple products. That's how Apple operates (use brand loyality to make one purchase than keep you coming back through proprietary accessories, software, and hardware). Yo trippin' foo.

Original build quality statement wasn't in reference to the Zune. 2 separate statements. As evidenced by my next comment on the Zune. Reread, comprehend, then post.
I couldn't afford as it was more expensive than the iPod for the same storage space. And it doesn't work with my head unit because my head unit does not have Cowon controls, it has iPod controls. It also works with USB drives, but it doesn't index the files, making finding music more difficult, as you have to organize it manually or search thru a giant list of songs. And lots of companies use proprietary jacks. As long as the computer interface side is standard (usb in this case), I couldn't care less. iPod cables are dirt cheap on Amazon. I'm not a fanboy, I just buy the thing that does what I need for the money I have to spend. Brand isn't even a concern for me at all. I judge all products I'm looking to buy individually by item, not according to brand. |

I'm a Fanboi of AMD because my pocket book no longer lets me Buy Intel...
Sorry but Nvidia is too expensive for what you get as well..All things considered..Such as larger PSU and better cooling... Nvidia makes fast Products though and there is no denying it

I sold my AMD rig to buy my current Intel setup which performs faster. You dont have to buy an i7 to have Intel which is a common mistake. There is absolutely no use in 6 cores unless you video encode the majority of the time your on your computer.
There are also less expensive Nvidia solutions than a 480/470 that perform damn good for the dollar as well. Its all in how you look at it. |

I like Nvidia more becuase the driver stability. I know ati can render nicer, but what good is all that if it has so many problems. Like dating a hot model that has temper tantrums all the time or she cannot manage her money and ends up broke LOL>

I also forgot to put in my last post, if ATI upped their driver game id rather use ATI cards because they are still really good. Currently i only prefer Nvidia because of driver issues ive been having with ATI since my 4870 a long time ago.

Hey, what's wrong with ATI drivers? I only had to try four different old drivers to get my ATI card to stop freezing with Windows 7.

Last ATI driver that worked great for me was on a 9800XT. The drivers for my X1900XTX wernt even that great but it was a beast card.
