What are you?
Try to define your Political Views Vaguely or as much as you can
I feel as though I am a Progressive Liberal Republican I think socially this country is moving Backwards as individual freedoms are not where they should be.. example...I wanna smoke POT legally I think Trade agreements are not in Favor of the Republic and need abandoned all together so we can start them over and do it right. example....If we hold American Companies to Safety, Employee Financial and Environmental Standards then those same standards must be met by our trading partners or we don't trade with em.. So give some examples of what you think you are and what you stand for.

On military affairs, I generally side with Republicans.
On economic issues, I side with conservatives (Republicans aren't conservative enough). On most social issues, I side with established law and democratic process.

I'm a liberal out right. I side with them on way to many issues, and I think this country has lost it's mind. It's fell WAY to far on the right side, and it has/is leading to the downfall of all us living in it.
Wiki Liberalism (from the Latin liberalis, "of freedom"[1]) is the belief in the importance of liberty and equality.[2][3] Liberals espouse a wide array of views depending on their understanding of these principles, but most liberals support such fundamental ideas as constitutions, liberal democracy, free and fair elections, human rights, capitalism, free trade, and the separation of church and state. These ideas are widely accepted, even by political groups that do not openly profess a liberal ideological orientation. Liberalism encompasses several intellectual trends and traditions, but the dominant variants are classical liberalism, which became popular in the 18th century, and social liberalism, which became popular in the 20th century. I believe in FAIR capitalism, and not so much on free trade for all(I think it hurts our country, and our neighbors). Human rights issues is one reason I support the wars we are in overseas

Is this how you see if JM?
I have seen it this way for a while. If say over 85% of your business (around that) is all in the US. Then your company must meet US standards for free trade. Which would include US EPA guide lines, US human rights, and US min wage. If you don't meet this standards. Then you must pay a high import tax to do business with us.

I think a lot of people feel as though employers here in the US are are over regulated. But those regulations are their to prevent needless work injuries or environmental disasters to make sure employees get paid for an honest days work and to make sure they are taken care of when something unforeseen goes wrong.. As a nation we demand clean air and low pollution levels...Nobody wants to see smoke stacks in their back yards. People here wont accept dangerous work conditions. We enforce overtime because we feel employers should limit the time people spend away from home. But the greedy found away around all of that through FREE TRADE. Theirs always gonna be someone somewhere that wants a better life that's easy to exploit. Theirs always gonna be a Govt that doesn't care about Toxic air or any pollutions or worker safety. Just because it's not happening here om our land doesn't mean it's right. If we can't accept those practices here then we shouldn't buy from over there where they do.. This is a practice of out of sight out of mind. Just because those stacks aren't in our back yards doesn't mean it's not polluting our AIR. Just because these factories aren't on our land doesn't mean WORKER SAFETY should be disregarded. Put simply if those we trade with can't meet our standards then we shouldn't be trading with em

Either we have to cut back the regulations and take our chances or uphold the standards that we hold to ourselves to our trading partners.~ they do..That's why we have such lopsided trade deals the world over... A little known fact is Corporations have made the push for most of the ridiculous Regs we have in this country backed by sue happy lawyers and applauded by the people Just to have those same corporations invest heavily overseas. I'd also like to see a conflict of interest clause added to investment firms as part of financial reform or at the very least require a footnote of investment to let people know what they are investing in. Seriously How would you feel if you were a GM employee investing in Toyota unwittingly...Sounds ridiculous but it's been going on for a long time... The American worker has been funding investment into his overseas competition for some time..Not saying it should be illegal to do so but the investor should know what they are investing in. Ignorance is far to easy to take advantage of and unfortunately we are a country full of ignorant people.
