From Defeat, Victory!
For the last year I have been stressed about many things in my life. Constantly fearing being axed by a new employer (work for a federal contractor, am on my 3rd employer at the same contract ATM), just to find a decent contractor that decided to cut my pay by $9 per hour.
I can't afford my car, insurance and rent, so I decided to downsize and move into a pull behind trailer for a while and find a plot to put it on for cheap. I was going to rent from an uncle, but he has some pretty stringent rules about me living there and I wasn't happy. Another friend of mine approached me last night, and offered me to park on a plot of land they purchased to build their dream home on. They still plan on building there in the future, but economic issues have delayed the plan by years. They want me to park my trailer on 7 acres in the country, there is power, septic and most importantly a phone line (DSL). The only "rent" they want to charge is for me to keep undesirables off their property, they've have some issues with vandalism in the past and are giving me full access to the property as I see fit, within reason. I'm so fucking stoked for the opportunity. I love country living and will be more than happy to be able to experience it again while saving every penny I earn to fund college. Sorry, had to vent. I will post pics of the property as soon as I can. |

Pull behind trailers can be awesome. My parents have a 37 foot motor home and we used to take a 3 week vacation to colorado. Got pretty cramped with 4 people in it, but I guarantee that I could live in it alone and have plenty of space.

I'm always happy to hear of people moving out of the city. Sure, they are great for food, theater, art, traffic, hookers, crime, drugs and developing an overall bad outlook on your fellow man, but you can't beat pissing out your front door and looking at the stars.
You're probably hoping the vandals return so you can do some macing/tasing
