Latest post thing

Hey all.

So, when I click on a topic under the Latest post section I'm transferred to the first post. This is kinda annoying as I use that section pretty much always, and it would be nice if it instead of just linking to the topic would get you to the actual latest post in the thread.

Isn't the "downwards-pointing arrow-like symbol" for that? You should click that and not the topic title.

There is no "Downwards-pointing arrow-like symbol" - that's on TPU, not GN.

(yes, I know there is one above the first post)

Clicking on

in a list of threads takes you to the latest post which you haven't read, if you're subscribed to it. Or it will take you to the first post.

Clicking on

takes you to the very last post of a thread. Once you've clicked it, the system assumes that the very last post of the thread is the last post that you have read. As time passes, and posts add on, that post becomes "the last post you've read", and clicking

takes you to it.

shows that you're subscribed to a thread.

Do not click on the thread topic. Click on the blue down-arrow next to the thread title you want to visit.
You will then be taken to the actual last post in the thread.

Or you can tell the forum software to sort posts in reverse chronological order. That's how I have it set up and a thread always opens to the last post.

LOL Someone finally understood. I guess "inverted blue triangle" is too much of a giveaway, so I went with that. lol
