Hugh Grant 'could replace Sheen' good idea /bad idea

Hugh Grant has been weighing a big move - replacing the fired Charlie Sheen on Two And A Half Men.

A person familiar with the situation said the British film actor was in negotiations to join the sitcom as its new leading man. The person, speaking on condition of anonymity because producer Warner Bros and CBS hadn't authorised public comment, said the talks had stalled without resolution.

But it was unclear whether Hugh's hiring was a closed issue, the person said. Reports that he had been offered one million dollars an episode were inaccurate, the person said, adding any Sheen replacement would be paid less than that.

Sheen was among TV's highest-paid actors at a reported 1.8 million dollars an episode.

Hugh's publicist did not immediately return a call for comment.

The Grant/Two And A Half Men negotiations were first reported by the Deadline Hollywood website.

so what do you guys think is hugh upto the job?

Hugh Grant isn't funny (unless one considers romantic comedies funny). He would be a fish out of water on that show.

The ONLY show where it is allowed to change an actor are the James Bond movies.

And Hugh Grant, really no. Come on. No. Just no.

They should just higher japan to make one of those creepy robots. Can just make it spit out old dialog. All his lines were pretty similar anyways.

Robots can't tolerate the ingestion of Cocaine. It's too corrosive (alkaline).

So how would this work in the story? Charlie gets into a car crash, doctors give him a full face reconstruction and he wakes up with a different face? Sounds feasible.

I want someone to cast Hugh Grant as a .. well, anything besides in a romantic comedey, which is all he does. Seriously, it's all he does. It would be fun seeing him as a Batman villain or something.
