LA Micro group... F you~!

So back in september i was selling off the rest of my megarig stuff... i put my cpus and motherboard up on ebay since no one in the forums was biting. most of the parts sold to people i know so the machine sold rather smoothly until..... the cpus.

i sold the 2 xeon x5690s for $2350 to LA Micro Group (http://www.lamicrogroup.net/home.php) whom paid with a credit car via paypal. i shipped the cpus, >>>WITH SIGNATURE CONFIRMATION<<< (9101 0105 2129 7179 2627 06) and it shows the EXACT date and time and location the package was delivered.

LA Micro filed a chargeback with their credit card company which TOTALLY cut paypal and ebay out of the loop of recourse for me.

BOTH ebay and paypal informed me that since it was a CC chargeback, they had no hand in getting the money back to me AT ALL.

i called these assholes and demanded to talk to the owner. after 5 mins of conversation with him he begins calling me names and telling me he is way more awesome than me. i said... "EXCUSE ME SIR.... google my fucking name and see what i have acomplished, then tell me you are more awesome." not that i was trying to be cocky but... he shouldnt be talking to me like that. after telling me to "Fuck off and send the police if thats what you want to do..." he ended the phone conversation with "you'll never get your money back, you are a crazy person if you think its going to happen, and im not going to argue with you about how big your dick is." then he hung up on me.

i called the attourney general here in kansas city and he's going to contact someone in LA i guess.

im calling the LA police here in a bit to go search the place but i know they wont find the chips... they are most likely long gone or were taken home for personal use.

in case you dont see whats wrong here i'll spell it out.....

1. ebay DOESNT give a shit about you or your money.
2. paypal WONT fight to help you in any way, EVEN IF YOU HAVE TRACKING INFO.
3. Credit card companies have the upper hand and can overrule paypal and ebay
4. even "well respected bussiness with XX years experience" will scam you out of money.
5. my rent is due and because of this asshole of a place, i dont have the money to pay

I'd think with Confirmation #s it would be easy work for the police....at least I hope so..I quit dealing with ebay...it's turned into scam central.

What if you had a second PP acct and transferred the money as soon as it cleared? After reading your post that's what I just did and then from that acct transferred it to a bank acct. I figured they'd have a hard time doing a chargeback if there's no money in the acct. I guess they could wait until there is and then spring the trap, but then it would be hard for PP to deny any involvement.

oh... the $2350 is long past gone... but now my paypal is $2350 in the hole and they are taking me to collection over it.... they pulled the money from my back account in the meantime

LA Micro Group is a member of the Better Business Bureau. I would file a complaint with them. I have had success with these types of situations in the past simply by getting the BBB involved.

Well either way I agree this is total fucking bullshit that ebay and paypal won't do anything. I always thought the whole fucking purpose of using paypal was to protect yourself from shit like this.

Do you know what CC company was? Maybe you can bitch at them.

I just realized something - doesn't the credit card company have to give you a chance to respond and wouldn't proof of delivery tip the scales in your favor?
