At first I didn't know what this thread meant. I got $2 per week until i turned 10 and got a delivery route.

I don't usually keep much money in my pocket. Usually just $20~$100. If everywhere accepted credit cards, I wouldn't keep any cash around.

I made the resolution to quit carrying around pocket money, because I always end up wasting it all. If I'm at the GW and see some knick-knack for $10 that I want but don't need, I'm much more likely to buy it if I have a $20 bill versus having to do a debit.

good for you. I learnt to never spent money if i don't have enough to purchase something. I will never order anything if I don't have the money to pay for it, also i'm pretty sure that i don't ever want to take out a loan to buy anything in my life

I never got an allowance growing up, I made my own money. Mostly selling stuff to friends or on ebay. As for now, I usually keep at least $50-100 on me, but I will carry $500-$3000 at times.
