I need a source to find some non greasy non spicy foods. Unfortunately, my fiancee has 4 bad stomach ulcers. They're getting so bad that she bleeds very often and she randomly but somewhat frequently gets sharp pains in her stomach every day. One of her ulcers is even beginning to develop a hole, about the size of 3 pinholes combined last time it was looked at.

We need to eliminate greasy and spicy foods. I'm not sure what's good and what's bad for her to be eating... so I need a source to come up with some ideas for things that she can eat that won't put her in pain and damage her stomach like these greasy spicy foods are doing.

Homemade rice and potatoes. Empty your deep fryer if you have one and commit to not buying oil for it (Canola/Corn). As JC said, no fast foods unless they're natural (salads, fruit, etc.). Everything at fast food joints is doused in oil.

You could probably even do homemade fried rice. It takes very little oil and preferably that oil would be sesame which is pretty healthy. Avoid putting butter/margarine on stuff because they are basically solid fat.

Everything homemade, you can control the spiciness of.

It may also help to avoid foods that are acidic. 0-6.9 is acidic, 7.0 is neutral, 7.1-14 are basic (neutralizes acid):

Fresh eggs can be basic, for example, but if fats irritate her ulcers, separate the yolk and only use the white.

Vegetables, lots of them. You'd be amazed at the difference it makes. Soon you will be able to reintroduce spicy once her stomach is cured, but never go back to greasy because it kills.

FYI, paprika can be spicy too. It's not really hot but in volume...

    Tofu

Also utilize cooking methods like baking, grilling, broiling, steaming, and poaching. They require little to no hot oil

Whey shakes. Dry scrambled eggs. Dry toast. Oatmeal. Salads. Veggie Burgers. Turkey dogs.

Ulcers are either bacterial or caused by high levels of cortisol prohibiting the body from making the lining, and or COX1 (also causes pain) is responsible for developing the lining in the stomach, which is why pain relievers can cause ulcers as well. Is there a underlying cause that she takes pain meds or another NSAID that also blocks the COX1 from working? If so switching to a COX2 targeting drug may alleviate the stomach involvement while still relieving the pain.

    They're stress ulcers.

I've found a number of things I can make and have been quite successful so far... apparently I'm a good cook!
