don't care about ratings, just want a way to block a show from showing up at all. especially in kid mode. there are sooooo many annoying kids shows and my kids love the F out of them...

and youtube wtf? what the hell is up with all the adults opening and playing with kids toys? And why the F do my kids keep trying to watch it? whoever these people are, they better hope I don't find out where they live. There will be feces and eggs, and nails in the driveway and "you suck" burned into their lawns and salt poured into their flower beds and sugar in their gas tanks and random signs that say "freaks move to canada"...

wait they probably already are canadian...that makes sense.

Hulu Live is taking Beta participation surveys if anyone is interested...
I'm interested because it combines basic Sling TV service and CBS all access and is supposed to allow a full service live HBO like Sling TV and cable have...

I just watched two co-workers almost get into a fight...
The safety relief valve opened on another line leaking 315psi of steam which is deafening, and when told about the operator of the line in question decided to keep running it... Well to say the least it's a safety issue so the other guy E-stopped the line...
I was gonna do it but I was best to it.... Ear plugs and ear muffs are not designed to cancel it that much noise...

Anyways the other guy comes down screaming... I'm like WTF?

Stupid shit to fight over... It's not like the dude was going to get paid more but others would have lost hearing....

    Stupid people...

Coal, nuclear, and even fusion power plants use it though. It's the most efficient way to turn heat into force. I assume the alterative would be to use electricity and in which case, you're turning heat, into mechanical, into electrical, into mechanical which is less efficient.

Yeah, it sucks but steam is just so damn useful.

So today my son has a Fisher Price car in his hand and goes into a full out tantrum...The car goes flying right into the TV....
My wife looks at me and says "do think they'll let us throw toys at the TV's on display, you know to make sure they fit our needs"....
I think that would be fucking brilliant actually...
    They really should.

No it was an LG... And it didn't break...
Actually a decent TV for sports and gaming... Not so much for 1080p TV and movies.... Horrible contrast in 1080p...
Still might end up buying a LG UHD7700... I went to see it and thought it was crap until a friend that works for Geek squad said the tv they have on display isn't the 7700 and was actually a 6500.... He said to go to the Boardman store because they actually have the 7700 on display... I'll do that Friday as well as check out the Samsung 7000 series

I love my samsung, especially the smart remote. 10 buttons, and it controls all my other samsung devices (such as my blu-ray player) as well as a few non samsung ones. The only thing I wish it had was direct volume control of the spdif out. Right now I still have to control the volume on my sound system separately.

but yeah hit home, navigate to what you want, tv, netflix, hulu, amazon, youtube, web browsing, connected devices, etc. Fast too.

picture quality is amazing and it upscales pretty flawlessly.

Pretty sure SPDIF is always 100% dB. It's the DAC on the receiving end that has to adjust the volume. Digital generally doesn't have a volume adjustment per se.
