What kind of aftershave do you use, and what are its merits. I've experimented with all three kinds, and I can't make up my mind on one kind to use forever.

    Don't consider fragrance.

i use old spice original. best part about liquid is its liquid and an antiseptic. so works well other things like cuts and bruises too.

plus you can use it on your body too if you like the fragrance. which i do. Its strong at first but the lingering scent is very pleasant and lasts hours if not days.

To the None guys, is it none because you apply nothing after shave, or is it because you don't keep a clean-shave?

I used to use Old Spice, mostly because that's what my dad used when I was growing up.

    Now I have a beard.

I usually shave dry with a nice electric shaver and it doesn't really irritate my skin so I don't do anything other than a splash of cold water.

On the rare occasion that I decide to shave wet, I use Coochie shave cream, then their aftershave spray, followed by their aftershave powder. It's marketed to chicks for shaving their crotch, but it works just as well on a face.

Before I tried that, I used to use the Nivea stuff.

if you have dry skin use an aftershave balm instead

    http://www.sephora.com/aftershave?

regular aftershave can dry your skin out even more.

and for dry skin patches on elbows and knees you want to use a body scrub :p

    these products exist guys!

I used the liquid once when I was a kid and have never tried it again (BURNING!!). I found the lotion gave me acne.

I always wash my face with warm water now.

btarunr, I imagine it's quite humid where you live. Why would you need it? In Taiwan, sometimes I would shave without shaving cream cause it was so humid.

Its because I don't have a need for aftershave. My skin is fine.

i have the shaving cream and all that, but usually, i don't even bother using that stuff. i just get a lot of soap on my face and shave. easy on, easy off.
we have a pretty dry winter here and that the only time when i will actually use moisturizing aftershave to stop itchy skin (for me its usually my hands and feet, lol).

I use Nivea Protective Lotion due to dry skin after shaving. It doen't matter which shaving cream I use, my skin is always dry.

I have the opposite problem. My skin is uncontrollably oily. I can do anything to it, even dry it out to the point of being flaky and by the end of the day it looks like someone dumped a bucket of oil on my face. I have to periodically rinse my face throughout the day just to not look gross.
